Kareekloof Guesthouse is centrally located on the road that takes you to the SALT (Southern Africa Large Telescope) and Observatory.
Situated in one of Sutherland’s oldest streets, Jubilee Street, it is within walking distance from all shops , Sutherland Planetarium and restaurants.
The house is ideal for self-catering families or groups.The house still resembles its heritage through the beautiful parquet floors.
You can stay warm by the fire place in the house, or move to the enclosed braai room/entertainment area for a cosy evening of dinner and conversation.
The house has 3 bedrooms – of which 2 have queen size beds and the one with the queen size bed also have a 3/4 bed and 1 has two single beds. There is one large bathroom with shower and bath, and has a separate entrance so that everyone may enjoy privacy.
All beds have electrical blankets, linen and an extra blanket just in case!
The kitchen has everything you need for self-catering and the living room has a flat screen with DSTV, so you can enjoy a movie night in when it is just too cold outside!
For your convenience, the fridge is stocked with bottled water and soft drinks, which works on an honesty system, the price list is available next to the fridge. Wood is also available at an additional cost of R30 per bag.
