Rooikloof Guest Farm offers fully furnished country houses for the connoisseur. Each house has its own unique features, tastefully decorated with antique furniture, pictures, plenty of warm bedding and inviting fire places.
The Guest Farm offers a rural farm setting and visitors can enjoy the fresh air of the country by either relaxing on a stoep or exploring the farm - hiking at ones own leisure or picnicking in the shade of a tree near one of the fresh water springs.
Option 1:
Huis Harpuis
This beautiful historical homestead has been restored to its former self and offers place for up to eight adults.
The artfully furnished living room has a fireplace with which you can allay the icy winters the region is known for. There are barbecue facilities where one can grill succulent Karoo lamb, one of the area’s foremost dishes. A wide long stone corridor, which provides welcome relief in the summer months, runs the entire length of the house. Sleeping accommodation consists of two large double rooms for couples and two further rooms each with two single beds.
Huis Harpuis has its own bathroom, separate WC and shower. Bedding, towels, heaters and electric blankets are provided.
Huis Harpuis also has an annex flatlet, Spekbossie. This is a fully furnished flatlet with double room, en-suite (with shower) and kitchenette with bar fridge, microwave and coffee and tea making facilities; as well as a Welcome Dover stove for extra heat in addition to the panel wall heater and electrical blanket. This room is used as a fifth room in Huis Harpuis.
Option 2:
Renosterbos Cottage
Here your first impression may be captured by the wide red polished stoep overlooking the farm. This cosy cottage still has its original wooden floors, high ceilings and thick walls. Above its own hearth is the old drying loft accessible from an external stone staircase. Antiques handed down over the generations are in harmony with the Victorian features. A fully equipped kitchen gives easy access to splendid outdoor barbecue facilities.
Accommodation for six people is made up of two double bedrooms and a further room with two single beds. Bedding, towels, heaters and electric blankets are provided.
Option 3:
Completely renovated Koesnaatjie 1 & 2 (both have gas fridges, -heating and -stoves) provide 1X double bed plus leather sleeper sofa for kids. ( see October 2010 Weg Magazine pg 20.) All cottages have their own braai facilities with all the necessary equipment as well as the necessary fire places to keep the worst cold at bay.

Rates are as follows:
- Adults: R275 per person per night for both Huis Harpuis and Renosterbos Cottage
- Children under 12: R210 per child for both Huis Harpuis and Renosterbos Cottage
- Babies and toddlers under 3 years stay for free
- Koesnaatjie 1 & 2: R600.00/night/cottage
Firewood can be arranged at R20 a bag
